The Kobran air separator can be used for both pre- and post-cleaning of various free-flowing and pourable products in industry, recycling and agriculture.
According to the principle of the product-air counterflow process, the components that are lighter than the product and/or have a different product surface and/or a different product density are extracted with the air flow.

With the upstream and downstream adjustment flaps, the Kobran air cleaner works in an energy-saving manner and with controlled low consumption of intake air, as the air can only be sucked through the product flow to be cleaned.
By fixing the adjustment flaps, additional suction can be applied to the upstream and/or downstream conveyor elements (dedusting of upstream or downstream conveyors). The suction surface can also be changed.
The product is fed in continuously. Due to the inclined position of the cleaner, the product to be cleaned flows over the suction surface through the air cleaner. Suction air flows through the suction surface, which consists of stacked lamellas, and the product is turned by this stair-shaped arrangement and its own downward flow. Due to the cross-flow principle achieved here, the suction air takes the lighter components such as dust, shell parts, fluff and other light impurities with it. The foreign matter can be separated from the air in a dust separator.
The unit must always be installed at an angle of 42° to 50°. The Kobran wind cleaner can be installed in any existing pipe system, before or after a bucket elevator, screw conveyor or trough chain conveyor, etc.

Ambient air is sucked through the louvers in the interior of the Kobran wind cleaner through the product into the fan and then cleaned in a dust separator such as a cyclone, filter or similar, or discharged directly into the open air. In the case of highly abrasive products, the dust separator should be installed before the extraction fan. The exhaust air can also be used in the recirculation system with appropriate air routing.
The air volume varies depending on the product to be cleaned. For example:
Light product (such as oats) - Low air volume
heavy product (such as maize) - High air volume
All transitions can be manufactured for square pipes as well as for circular pipe cross-sections, depending on customer requirements.
