Waste separation plant - Unpacking plant

Food waste unpacking plant / separation and sorting plant for food and industrial waste.

Brama GmbH NTA 8 & NTA 10 - Separation plant for wet mechanical separation processes

The innovative wet separation plant for the treatment and separation of mixed, packaged, and unpackaged waste.

This plant is a solution for complying with the TA Siedlungsabfall (Technical Instructions on Municipal Waste) of the Waste Disposal Ordinance, which has prohibited the disposal/landfilling of untreated, organic, biodegradable municipal waste since June 1, 2005. By processing and separating organic and/or municipal waste, we reduce environmental pollution and provide a larger volume of high-quality biomass for recycling. Whereas waste was previously disposed of untreated, it is now processed and recycled. The organic components are returned as compost or biomass for the production of renewable energies, which leads to a significant reduction in landfill and the associated methane emissions. The implementation of this wet mechanical separation process achieves maximum purity of waste fractions. Contaminants in biomass and compost therefore no longer pollute the environment. Highest quality, safety, and precision are top priorities in the manufacture of these high-performance systems in order to achieve the best possible results for the user and ensure cost-effective waste processing for many years to come.

Application examples:

  • Municipal waste
  • Food waste
  • Waste separation
  • Recycling
  • Organic products
  • Biograde waste
  • Recyclable materials
  • Waste of all kinds
  • many more applications
from agricultural to contaminated medical and industrial waste.

Processing principle of the NTA 8 & NTA 10

Products are shredded, partially liquefied, processed, and separated from impurities in fully automated operation to prepare them for further processing. The system is regulated and controlled by a computer and frequency converter based on performance. This allows the performance, status of the system, and any performance drops or errors to be detected. Reverse or washing programs are initiated automatically, up to and including automatic shutdown if refilling is not carried out.

This system is characterised by its low space requirements and can also be integrated into existing buildings and systems. We can also customise the design and installation of the system. This means that feeding can be carried out manually, automatically or directly from a wheel loader/truck.

The machines in the product contact area are made of stainless steel. We manufacture the steel structures in stable, painted industrial quality, also in stainless steel on request.
An hourly output of 5 to 8 tons is achieved in continuous operation with high process reliability. Contaminants such as plastic, rubber, foil, and coarse particles are washed and discharged in a damp state. Glass, metals, stones, sand, and other heavy materials are separated from the substrate using the flotation principle and discharged.

This separation of abrasive contaminants increases the service life of the pumps and machines and prevents sludge build-up in pipes, containers, and fermenters in biogas plants or slagging in thermal plants.

A large proportion of the circulating process water is returned to the material cycle through the use of special water filters, thereby reducing operating costs.
Metals can be separated separately and collected for recycling.
